Great night, lovely atmosphere with such lovely hosts. The food was delicious, we shared the Antipasto misto between 5 and it was a great starter to share. Love that they donate their profits to local communities. We all agreed that we will definitely be back to try the other tempting dishes. Bravi

So thrilled to finally try Tesoro , such a gem in the neighborhood! I absolutely loved the Italian-inspired interior; it felt warm and inviting. Breakfast was excellent and I can’t wait to come back and try the pasta that all my friends rave about. The private function space is also beautiful , perfect for special occasions! Highly recommend.

Tucked away in a little shop on the main strip of Balwyn North, this authentic Italian café and restaurant is a real hidden gem. From the moment you walk in, there’s a warm and inviting atmosphere — cozy, intimate, and filled with that unmistakable Italian charm. The staff are friendly and attentive without being overbearing, and you can tell they genuinely care about the food and the experience they’re providing. I’ve been here a few times now, and each visit has been consistently excellent. The prices might seem a little on the higher side at first glance, but once your food and drinks arrive, you quickly realise it’s worth every dollar. Everything tastes incredibly fresh and is clearly made from top-quality ingredients. You can tell there’s a lot of passion behind each dish. The arancini with bolognese ragu were absolutely sensational — perfectly crispy on the outside, creamy inside, and paired with a tomato sauce that’s sweet, rich, and full of flavour. That sauce alone instantly took me back to Europe, reminding me of the kind of ripe, juicy tomatoes you only find overseas. The gnocchi was soft and beautifully made, with a melt-in-your-mouth texture. My only minor note was that it was a bit heavy on the cheese, which slightly overpowered the other flavours, but even then, it was delicious and the plate was completely finished by the end. The real standout, though, was the Settebello pizza. This was something special — a perfect combination of cheeses and creamy stracciatella, finished with crushed pistachios on top. The flavour balance was incredible, and the crust was light yet satisfying. Honestly, it’s one of the most unique and memorable pizzas I’ve ever had in Melbourne. Every dish I’ve tried here has been bursting with freshness, and there’s clearly a thoughtful touch behind every recipe. Whether you’re coming for a casual coffee, a cozy dinner, or a special night out, this place always delivers. Highly recommend giving this spot a try, it’s one of those places that stays with you. I’ll definitely be coming back again (and again) for that pizza and the consistently excellent food.

Thank you so much for the most wonderful evening helping us to celebrate our daughter's 21st in your function room. From the moment we arrived, everything was perfect — the layout was beautiful, the table decorations, balloons, and arch were all set up so thoughtfully, and your staff greeted us warmly and introduced themselves, which made us feel so welcome. The food was absolutely incredible, and the wine and lemon spritz selections were spot on. Everyone commented on how delicious everything was, and a huge shout out must go to the desserts — wow!!! They were an absolute highlight. A special thank you to the staff and the genuine care and attention they gave to all our guests — they were so accommodating and made the evening feel seamless. We were all so impressed, and I have no doubt you’ll be seeing many new diners coming your way — Tesoro Gastronomia has certainly made a lasting impression on us all.

Great food, great service, reasonable prices! We picked this place for a fancy date night, but honestly I think we’ll be back with the kids to try their pinsas. It is just a little bit fancy, but it was such a great experience that felt affordable. The staff couldn’t be nicer and it was just a really nice place to sit. The gnocchi was fantastic, and even though the portion didn’t look that big it was very filling. Would recommend getting a salad to share with the mains, we got a pear and rocket salad and would get that again. Treat yourself to a peach Bellini if you’re feeling a little fancy!

I had an incredible dining experience at Tesoro Gastronomia! The bottomless pasta and pinsa deal for $35 per adult and $20 per child is an absolute steal. The quality of the Italian food here is top-notch, with a menu full of traditional, well-crafted dishes. The risotto, featuring prawns and a zesty lemon sauce, is an absolute must-try. The restaurant offers various deals throughout the week, and the atmosphere is vibrant and welcoming. I also appreciate that 100% of proceeds go towards supporting local arts, sports, and charities. This place is a gem in Doncaster. Highly recommend

Best gluten free options! It was such a treat to enjoy a focaccia entrée, followed by delicious pizza and pasta, all gluten free and full of flavour. The Amaretto Sour was honestly the best we’ve ever had! Highly recommend for a perfect date night. We’ll definitely be coming back. The staff were so friendly and attentive!

Absolutely loved our night at Tesoro Gastronomia. Even better that 100% of the profits are donated to local charities. Definitely will be back. We got carried away with the night meeting locals on another table and a warm friendly Italian vibe. Can’t fault the experience. Food was unbelievable and we will be back to do some shopping.
